Mahir Rahman works as a Paralegal at London Law Solicitors. A Law & Criminology (LLB) graduate from the University of Roehampton, he is currently preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) to qualify as a solicitor.
Experience
Mahir has attained experience across multiple areas of law, including family law, residential conveyancing, and immigration. He has also accumulated experience supporting solicitors with legal research, bundle e-filing, case preparation, document drafting, and client communication.
Mahir has experience working with a variety of lenders including Islamic lenders for properties purchased with Home Purchase Plans. He also has significant experience with property chains (simultaneous sales and purchases), leasehold management and refinancing of property.
Mahir also has experience acting as a firm representative for family matters, maintain office administrative accounts, website management, and overlooking certificate of sponsorship applications.
Focus
Mahir will be working across the conveyancing, family and immigration departments. He will be looking to expand his practical experience across these areas, delivering the highest-quality legal service and maintaining a client-focused approach. He will now be in a position to offer services in the commercial conveyancing sector and get further insight into Landlord & Tenant matters.
Mahir will strive to provide a environment for family and immigration clients to feel safe and heard so that they may express themselves thoroughly.
Languages
Mahir is fluent in English and Bengali. He can additionally communicate in French, Hindi, Spanish and Italian.
Outside of Work
Mahir also works as an advisor to the board of trustees for the RISE Collective, a national charity supporting the UK youth to express themselves.
In his free time, Mahir enjoys staying updated on current affairs and keeping active through football, running, skateboarding, cycling and gym training.
Mahir also partakes in the improv comedy circuit with Hoopla and the Make It Beautiful Theatre Company.
